Charlie Stevens Joins Valent Sales Team

Growers can rely on his 20 years of experience in specialty, row crop markets

WALNUT CREEK, California—Valent U.S.A. Corporation welcomes Charlie Stevens as a sales representative in the Atlantic region with responsibility for agricultural products in Pennsylvania and the “Delmarva Peninsula” area of Delaware, Maryland and Virginia.

Stevens comes to Valent with more than 20 years of experience in crop protection sales. Most recently he served as a territory manager for Bayer CropScience, covering a variety of crops in southeast Georgia and northern Florida. At Bayer he earned the company title Master Salesman in 2001 for his superior career achievement. In addition, Stevens was raised on a Wisconsin farm and earned a bachelor’s degree in agriculture business management from the University of Wisconsin. 

“Charlie’s broad background, knowledge of agriculture and excellent communications skills will make him a welcome addition to the Valent sales team,” said Jerry Hulbert, Valent Atlantic region sales manager. “We have a strong and growing portfolio of products to offer farmers in the Northeast, and Charlie will be an asset to farmers as they consider their insect, disease plant growth regulator and weed control programs.”

Stevens said he looks forward to applying his experience to the fruit, row crop and vegetable markets in the Atlantic region.
