From academic institutions to respected industry leaders, Valent partners with a wide variety of organizations that are committed to sustainable agriculture.
Through open communication, we can better understand the challenges facing today's growers and collaborate to create solutions beneficial to them and society at large.
As part of our product innovation process, we partner with university specialists across multiple disciplines to ensure our products meet the high expectations of crop and pest management experts and growers.
We have also partnered with California Rice and scientists at U.C. Davis to investigate the use of over-wintering flooded rice fields to enhance the survival of migratory fish.
Our future industry leaders are the students of today. That's why Valent strengthens and supports the educational opportunities and curriculum of students from elementary school through college.
We are working closely with the National FFA to create educational resources that focus on innovative, sustainable products and practices. We also partner with AFA to provide scholarships to four agricultural education college students each year.
Through partnerships with associations such as CropLife America, the American Soybean Association and other key industry stakeholders, we explore issues that impact growers. We work together to develop policies that ensure the grower community has the tools to remain productive and sustainable.
As an organization, we are also actively engaged in membership, philanthropic and collaborative organizations that are dedicated to the responsible use of pesticides, including The Pesticide Stewardship Alliance and Agricultural Container Recycling Council.
We partner with SCS Global Services to provide growers with the full support of the Sustainably Grown Certification that advances sustainable agriculture practices in the U.S.
We also regularly communicate with our customers and ask for feedback on our products and services, striving to continuously improve the effectiveness of our business.
The entire Valent organization comes together to provide volunteer services and financial support to a wide-range of community-based organizations – particularly those related to health and human services and the environment.
In particular, we give annually to the Food Bank of Contra Costa, and our employees dedicate hours of their time volunteering at various food banks across the country.
