Valent's Commitment to Pesticide Stewardship

Valent U.S.A. works with pesticide users in every sector where we live, work, play, or farm, to enhance effective pesticide use, reduce risk, educate others, and support implementation of Integrated Pest Management (IPM).

Valent is committed to promoting effective stewardship in and beyond the field and believes that the appropriate management and use of our products help underpin sustainable agriculture and safeguard the environment and public health. Through targeted projects, education, and outreach, and in a spirit of collaboration with stakeholders, we strive to foster a culture of stewardship throughout the industry.

As part of our commitment, Valent actively engages with pesticide users, educators, and related organizations that engage in reducing potential risks associated with pesticide use. Several organizations Valent supports include:

The Pesticide Stewardship Alliance (TPSA)

The Pesticide Stewardship Alliance (TPSA) is an organization of federal, state and local governmental agencies, educational and research institutions, public organizations, private corporations and individuals that are actively involved in many aspects of pesticide stewardship. TPSA serves as a forum to facilitate cooperation among all interested individuals, organizations, agencies and companies.

Pollinator Partnership

Pollinator Partnership works with local, regional, and national governments; businesses, universities, and others who support pollinator protection in North America. Their mission is to promote the health of pollinators, critical to food and ecosystems, through conservation, education, and research. Their program, National Pollinator Protection Campaign (NAPPC) brings together research, conservationist and government to protect pollinators, to raise pollinator-related issues, and to benefit the health of all species.

American Association of Pesticide Safety Educators (AAPSE)

The American Association of Pesticide Safety Educators (AAPSE) includes in its membership public and private entities, government, business, and academia. Their mission is to provide a collective voice and forum for professional development, advocacy, and collaboration in the development, delivery, and advancement of pesticide applicator certification and safety education with the goal of protecting human health and the environment.

Ag Container Recycling Council (ACRC)

Ag Container Recycling Council (ACRC) is an industry funded not-for-profit organization that safely collects and recycles agricultural crop protection, animal health and specialty pest control product containers. Thousands of farmers and applicators nationwide participate in our free recycling programs. The ACRC is fully funded by our member companies that formulate, produce, package and distribute crop protection and other pesticide products.
