Meet the Valent U.S.A. 2025 Interns
Interns at Valent U.S.A. are gaining real-world experience across the business—from supporting marketing, HR, and corporate initiatives in San Ramon, CA, to engaging in field research and agronomic trials at sites like the Midwest Agricultural Research Center. These hands-on opportunities reflect Valent’s commitment to innovation, sustainability, and developing the next generation of agricultural leaders.
Hear directly from this year’s interns as they share how their experiences are shaping their skills, confidence, and passion for the ag industry below.

I’m a junior at Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo, majoring in Agricultural Business with a minor in Sales. What I appreciate most about working at Valent is the people and the collaborative environment. Everyone has been incredibly welcoming, supportive, and genuinely invested in helping me learn and grow. The team encourages open communication, creativity, and curiosity, which has made my experience both enjoyable and rewarding.
The most valuable thing I’ve learned is how strategic and data-driven effective marketing needs to be. From observing campaign planning to working with analytics tools, I’ve gained a deeper understanding of how to align messaging with customer needs and business goals. I’ve also learned the importance of cross-functional collaboration and how every detail, from branding to execution, impacts overall success.
Andi Chen, HR Intern, Valent U.S.A.
I’m a junior at the University of California, Davis, majoring in Sociology with a minor in Business. What I like best about working at Valent is the company culture. Everyone is respectful, supportive, and truly looks out for one another. I remember during my first week, I was feeling a bit overwhelmed, and my coworkers went out of their way to check in on me and help me feel comfortable and included.
The most valuable thing I’ve learned is the importance of asking questions and staying curious. Valent has shown me that no one will judge you for seeking clarity—on the contrary, it’s encouraged. Being open to learning and asking for help has helped me grow both personally and professionally.
Aliza Yoder, Research & Development Intern, Valent U.S.A., Midwest Agriculture Research Center
I am currently a sophomore at the University of Missouri, double majoring in Plant Science – Crop Management and Agricultural Systems Technology. My favorite part about working at Valent is the family atmosphere. Everyone is kind and committed to helping me gain the most out of this experience, so it did not take long for me to feel at home here!
The most valuable thing I have learned through my internship is how to support and maintain agricultural research trials through hands-on experience with crop care, data collection, and farm operations in a safe, organized, and efficient manner.
