Herbicides for Marestail (Horseweed)
Marestail, also known as horseweed, is a fast-growing broadleaf weed found in agricultural crops, landscapes, nurseries, greenhouses, roadsides and rights- of- way. Marestail competes with desirable plants, increasing water use and reducing yield. Marestail can cause repeated callbacks for Lawn Care Operators (LCOs) and challenges for growers. The weed can germinate throughout the year and can produce more than 200,000 seeds per plant. Marestail/horseweed resistance to glyphosate and other herbicides is a growing problem.
