Evan Carlisle Joins Valent Sales Team for Oregon, Washington

New hire reinforces company's increased presence in potato markets

April 16, 2008

WALNUT CREEK, Calif. (April 16, 2008)—Evan Carlisle has joined Valent U.S.A. Corporation as a sales representative for Oregon and Washington in the company's Western Region.  Carlisle brings more than 10 years of experience in Pacific Northwest agriculture, working most recently as regional sales manager for Alligare LLC. Company officials said Carlisle's experience, especially within the potato market, will be invaluable as the company rolls out its new Belay™ Insecticide for potatoes this spring and an updated chemigation label for its Chateau® Herbicide. Belay joins Chateau, Select Max® Herbicide with Inside Technology™, Venom® Insecticide and DiPel® and XenTari® Biological Insecticides to help round out the company's portfolio against some of the toughest potato pests.

"This will be an important season for Valent and the potato crop protection market," said Alan Kennedy, Valent western regional sales manager. "Evan will be pivotal in helping communicate to growers the protection Belay, Chateau, Select Max and the rest of our growing portfolio can bring to Pacific Northwest potato crops. He has strong ties to this area and knows what local growers need to help protect their crops to improve their yields."

Prior to joining Valent, Carlisle worked for MANA Inc. and United Phosphorus Inc.  He received a degree in agronomy from Montana State University.

Valent U.S.A. Corporation markets and sells fungicides, herbicides, insecticides, miticides, nematicides and plant growth regulators for the agricultural, horticultural, turf, ornamental and professional pest control markets.
