Byron Phillips Joins Valent Sales Team
Phillips brings 27 years of experience, knowledge to company's expanding fruit pest management portfolio

WALNUT CREEK, Calif. (August 5, 2008)—Valent U.S.A. Corporation welcomes Byron Phillips as its newest sales representative. Phillips will be supporting Valent's tree fruit market in the Pacific Northwest.
Phillips brings 27 years of crop protection experience and deep connections in Pacific Northwest fruit production to his new role with Valent. He currently serves as vice-chair of the Washington State Commission on Pesticide Registration, holds leadership positions with the Western Integrated Pest Management Center and is a former member of both the Apple Horticulture and Apple Entomology committees of the Washington Tree Fruit Research Commission.
Most recently he served as an Integrated Pest Management consultant with Columbia Fruit Packers. Phillips earned two degrees from Wenatchee Valley College, including an Associate in Applied Arts degree in Agriculture.
"Byron's deep experience in fruit pest management will provide our Pacific Northwest customers an increased level of value and service," said Alan Kennedy, Valent western region sales manager. "Byron is going to be a valuable asset to our team in an extremely important region of the country."
