Valent U.S.A. Appoints Dave Poling as Vice President of Marketing

SAN RAMON, Calif., Aug. 2, 2022 – Valent U.S.A. LLC has appointed Dave Poling as vice president, Marketing, effective August 1, 2022. Poling succeeds Geoff Quick, who has transitioned to a new role as global lead, business development for Sumitomo Chemical’s AgroSolutions Division International (ASDI).

In his new role, Poling will be responsible for leading and developing the marketing organization and directing portfolio strategies for Valent’s products and services in the United States and Canada. He will also support global strategies and key growth initiatives of Valent’s parent company, Sumitomo Chemical.

Poling joins Valent from BASF, where he recently served as manager, regional marketing at BASF’s Research Triangle Park, NC. Previous roles at BASF include global segment team lead for Europe, Asia and the Americas, head of global marketing based in Germany and marketing manager for a leading insecticide. He also contributed to the integration of Whitmire Micro-Gen Research Labs, where he worked for nearly 10 years prior to BASF’s acquisition.

Poling earned a bachelor’s degree in Zoology from the University of California, Davis.
