Tourney for brown patch control
"It worked famously on brown patch."
–Rodney Hine, The Boston Club, Hingham, MA
Tourney for anthracnose control
"I couldn't control anthracnose before. I didn't have much luck with strobis. I tried so many different chemicals. It's been a four-year battle. I'm amazed at what Tourney has done with anthracnose on greens."
–Tom Harrington, Marshfield Country Club, Marshfield, MA
"I usually go two weeks on the greens, but with Tourney, I've gone three weeks between sprays. To get three weeks is big for me. I'm happy with Tourney and plan to use it next year."
–Mike Whitehead, Pawtucket Country Club, Seekonk, MA
"We are a Poa-heavy course, so we always have a consistent problem with anthracnose all the way through fall. I put Tourney as our first shot right out of the gate at the 16-ounce rate in mid-April and it is still clean as a whistle seven weeks later. Everyone at the club is asking what we did differently this year and, really, the only thing different I can point to is Tourney."
–Nick Burchard, Crestwood Country Club, Rehoboth, MA
Tourney for dollar spot control
"There's a place for Tourney [in fall dollar spot control]. I could foresee Tourney replacing another DMI instead of adding it to my rotation and using less of the other. If you like Tourney, why carry another DMI? Tourney doesn't have the curative traits of a Daconil®, but the value of Tourney alone is increased if you use it early. If there's full-blown dollar spot, then you need Daconil and Tourney behind it."
"It was an ideal area to test the fungicide [in July] because the turf-quality pressure is less on the nine-hole course compared to the 18-hole course. Nonetheless, it tested well. I was impressed. The next day there were no new mycelium spores, and the scars were healing in just a few days."
–Mark Burk, Ruggles Army Golf Course, Aberdeen Proving Ground, Aberdeen, MD
"I haven't seen the fairways this good this early in the year."
–Paul Jamaroag, Metacomet Country Club, East Providence, RI
Tourney for gray leaf spot control
"We got four to six inches of rain, and it was hot and humid. When the rain stopped, we sprayed Tourney. Gray leaf spot killed a lot of the ryegrass, but where we sprayed Tourney, it was all was good."
"It's cost effective to do some sprays of Tourney in the surrounds and edges of rough. I can't use other products in those areas because of cost and degree of need."
–John Vinson, Maryland Golf and Country Club, Bel Air, MD
